Three ways you and your fiancee can get started are: Crash Courses, Group Classes and/or Private Lessons.
Prepare for your first dance with the same care you give to your invitations, gowns, catering, flowers and music. We recommend planning at least 6 months prior to your wedding date so that you can comfortably choose your special song, the type of dance you want to do, and take lessons before "wedding frenzy" sets in.

If you would also like the classroom experience where you can meet other couples and learn the basics of a number of different dances, our COUPLES Group Classes or our COUPLES ONE DAY Crash Course are for you! (Couples classes are also great after the wedding!) Wedding couples often take a combination of both. The choice is yours!
We can help you choose your first wedding dance music, if you would like our experienced advice.
If an orchestra will be playing your first song, we'll help you choose a recorded version to use during lessons and for practicing at home.
If you have a music selection you like, we'll help you determine if it's "dance-able" and which style of dance best fits the music, for example a Foxtrot, a Waltz, or Swing.
We'll help you decide if a choreographed (planned) routine is best for you, or random patterns you choose during your lessons to be done spontaneously during your first dance.
Choosing shoes suitable for dancing is important if you want to move gracefully, so don't hesitate to discuss these matters with your instructor.
Your instructor will be happy to make suggestions regarding the music for your first dance, the music itinerary for your whole event, or even how to select the right orchestra or DeeJay for your wedding.

The whole display won the approval of a veteran New York dance instructor from Dance Manhattan Studios, who viewed the video at the request of the Daily News. “I think she has excellent hip movement,” said the teacher from Dance Manhattan studios. “I think that she has a little bit of that groove in her neck that gave it a little something extra.” He gave the First Lady of Groove bonus points for embracing the Dirty Dancing moves. Bush did when he infamously attempted an African tribal dance during a 2007 malaria awareness event. “She was on time with the music and didn’t look like she was trying too hard,” ...“She was very cool.”
